Here is a list of five vegetables which are the easiest to grow in your backyard:

Garlic

Garlic is one of the most essential ingredients when cooking and creating delicious dishes. The trick to growing garlic perfectly is to use garlic seeds and not the garlic bulbs which most people buy from the grocery store.

Radishes

Radishes are a part of the Brassicaceae family and are usually enjoyed raw as a crunchy ingredient to add to fresh salads.

Carrots

Carrots have many health benefits, the most important being that they strengthen your eyesight. Grow your own carrot for your salads, hearty dishes or even healthy smoothies. Once the top of your carrots start to show through the soil then that means that they’re to harvest and be enjoyed.

Lettuce

Lettuce is usually an important base ingredient for your fresh green salads. Lettuce is also added to garnish burgers and wraps to create a delicious crunchy experience which most people love.

Peas

Plant your peas early in the spring and provide them with a small trellis to support their growth. Once your peas are ready to harvest, you can add them to your salads, have them as a side or even eat them on their own as a snack.
